We can research:
- Historic homes and properties
- Commercial buildings and former businesses
- Local landmarks and community sites
- Ownership and occupancy history
- Previous uses of a property
- Newspaper mentions and historic events
- Maps, directories, deeds, photographs, and other available records
- Family connections to a particular home, business, or place
- Other custom local-history questions
Research may include available public records, historic newspapers, city directories, maps, property records, photographs, local archives, and other reliable historical sources.
What the $50 deposit covers
The $50 nonrefundable deposit begins the process. It covers the time required to review your request, evaluate the subject, identify available sources, and prepare a project scope, estimated timeline, and final price.
The deposit is applied toward the total cost of the project if you choose to move forward.
After checkout, you will be contacted to provide the address, names, dates, photographs, documents, and questions connected to your research request.
What you may receive
Depending on the project, the finished work may include:
- A written historical summary
- A property or ownership timeline
- Historic newspaper findings
- Maps, photographs, and supporting records
- Source citations
- A polished keepsake history suitable for preserving or gifting
Every project is different. Final pricing depends on the subject, available records, research time, depth of the project, and requested final format.
Historical research depends on the survival and accessibility of records. Specific names, dates, photographs, or discoveries cannot be guaranteed.
